With this in mind, avoid hard pretzels, caramel popcorn, and other extremely crunchy foods that have basically no nutritional value. Instead, fill your plate with softer foods, like cooked carrots, plain yogurt, oatmeal, and scrambled eggs.
Important note: Throughout your orthodontic treatment, your attachments may begin to wear down. This is completely normal, and something your orthodontist will keep an eye out for at your routine visits. What is not normal, however, is an attachment chipping or breaking off completely.
